News : “Work collectively" urged UniKL's Chairman Y.B. Datuk Dr. Adham Baba to UniKL Student Representative

Y.B. Datuk Dr. Adham Baba, Chairman of Universiti Kuala Lumpur took some time off his busy schedule to enlighten around 100 members of UniKL Majlis Perwakilan Mahasiswa (MPM) and Jawatankuasa Perwakilan Mahasiswa (JPM) from all UniKL branch campuses in a simple but yet meaningful dinner held on November 8, 2011 in conjunction with Hari Raya Adha 1432H celebration.

In his speech, Datuk Adham urged all student leaders to work together with the management, staff and fellow students of the university to drive UniKL towards scaling greater heights in the near future. He said, "we have the tendency to spend too much time computing and less time dominating our niche in Engineering Technology and we need to overcome this with full energy and strong support". He added that in understanding the true meaning of sacrifices in line with Aidil Adha celebration, one needs to question his or her contribution to the university and not what the university has contributed to them. He also advised the student representatives when he said, "I remembered from a dialogue session with industries way back in 2005, university graduates were found to have lack of communication skills, ICT skills, English Language proficiency and general knowledge. I strongly believed that graduates of UniKL do not fall into this category as they are highly regarded by the industries today. All of you must ensure that this high standard which enables UniKL to be a Tier-5 Excellent University is either maintained or improved where possible".
