Collaboration between Biotech Corp and UniKL MICET in Biotechnology Entrepreneurship Special Training (BeST) Program: BioBusiness Module.

 

Once again, BiotechCorp gladly offers the Bioengineering Section of UniKL MICET to be a part of a program named BeST Program: BioBusiness module. This program serves the requirement needed for the students to undergo their Internship with the program itself. This program would be a kick-start for the students to be involved in the Biotechnology entrepreneurial business. During the first two months of the program, two modules which are Technoprenuer in Bio Industry (Dec 5th, 2011 until Jan 5th, 2012) and Communications module (Jan 10th, 2012 till Feb 12th, 2012), will be covered at UniKL MICET.

Upon completion, the next phase of the program the exclusive BioSkills Module which involves qualified students to undergo a three months training program in selected Biotech industries. The industries offered are Herbal Extraction and Production Plant, Bioprocessing, Analytical Lab Instrumentation, Clinical Research and Plant Tissue Culture.

As for this year, 34 internship undergoing students of UniKL MICET have been accepted to participate in this program and each of them will receive RM1000/month allowance. Most of the students are from the Bachelor of Chemical Engineering Tech. (Hons.) in Bioprocess and Bachelor of Engineering Tech. (Hons.) in Biosystem in which both courses are closely related to the biotechnology field. However, this program also occupies students from other courses such as Bachelor of Chemical Engineering Tech. (Hons.) in Process, Polymer and Food. This showed that this program have been in demand by the students in order to be a platform for them to be exposed to the world of biotechnology, parallel with the program's mission.
