This 3 year programme covers a wide spectrum of industries like Automobiles, Petroleum and Gas, Medical, Food Processing etc. The students of this major are required to master the basic skill of designing, manufacturing, assembling, debugging die & mould; and the basic skill of operating and maintaining relevant equipment. By the end of the three years the students will be equipped with extensive knowledge and skill in mould fabrication. The students will have to undergo training in the area of Design, CAD/CAM, Tooling and Mould Manufacturing, Plastic Processing, Testing and Quality Control. These knowledge and skills will provide the graduates with suitable competencies to embark in careers in various manufacturing industries.

Program Educational Objective

  1. To produce graduates who are knowledgeable, competent and innovative which will contribute towards the requirement of the human capital in engineering technology related industry.

Program Learning Outcome


  1. Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and mould technology to defined and applied engineering procedures, processes, systems or methodologies.
  2. Assess the risk derived from the mould manufacturing process and identify the cause of the failure so as to be able to respond adequately to any eventualities of the process.
  3. Solve problems arisen during the mould manufacturing process and identify the cause of the failure and to respond effectively.
  4. Search, interpret and understand the related technical information, evaluating its contents by using appropriate terminology to optimize work related matters and as an instrument for technical updating.
  5. Select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering tools to weel defined engineering activities, concerning planning and programming of production.
  6. Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in divers technical teams.
  7. Communicate effectively on engineering activities with the engineering community and society by being able to write effective reports, documentation and make effective presentation
  8. Demonstrate understanding of the societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities and norms of engineering technology practice.
  9. Understand and commit to professional ethics, responsibilities and norms of engineering technology practice.
  10. Understand the impact of engineering solutions in an environmental aspect and demonstrate knowledge of the needs for sustainable development.
  11. Demonstrate the awareness and understanding of management, business practices, and technopreneurial competencies.
  12. Continuously study and identify the information related to the professional duties and functions for personal, organization and society development.
Career Path


Graduates are able to design and manufacture tool, assemble and debug die and mould, organize automatic production, operate CAD / CAM software and compile mould processing technology. They can also find jobs about NC machining die & mould and facility management of die & mould enterprises.
