The businesses are generally marked with high growth potential and high leverage of knowledge and intellectual property. Potential Technopreneurs must be equipped with both technical and business skills. UniKL develops its Technopreneurship thru Centre for Professional & Continuing Education (CPCE). CPCE which previously known as Technopreneur Development and Innovation Division (TDID) was established in 2005, to realize the university's mission as a centre of excellence in the creation of technopreneurs. On 1 March 2013, TDID had change its name into CPCE. With the aim to convert 'job-seekers' to 'job-generators' through science & technology interventions, CPCE develops Technopreneurs to be productivity-driven, technologically capable and competitive both locally and internationally.

CPCE is entrusted in providing the linkage between the university and the industry as a whole in the development of technopreneurs amongst the university graduates and others. This linkage is the catalyst to promote and develop the Bumiputeras in tandem with the government's policy of Bumiputera Commercial and Industrial Community 2 (BCIC 2) .

CPCE Technopreneurship programmes contain all the necessary ingredients starting from cultivating potential Technopreneurs up to enhancing them for the real market. We provide the access to UniKL expertise, facility and technology and match the Technopreneurs with relevant strategic business partners from the industry. With these, CPCE will inspire Technopreneurs to achieve greater heights.
