News : JPM Celebrates Outstanding Students at the “Majlis Anugerah Siswa 2014”

Student Development and Campus lifestyle (SLDC) in collaboration with the Students Representative Committee (JPM) organized an Excellent Awards Ceremony named "Majlis Anugerah Siswa" on Friday, 7 February 2014, at 8.00 pm at the UniKL RCMP main campus. The Awards Ceremony is an annual function arranged to highlight the accomplishments of students and their activities at UniKL RCMP. The awards were designed to recognize students who not only attain exemplary academic achievement but also a wide range of accomplishments and contributions especially in portraying and upholding the good image of UniKL.

Datin Norhafizah Ismail, Director, Centre for Campus Lifestyle of UniKL representing Prof Dato' Dr Mazliham Mohd Su'ud, President of UniKL congratulated all the 250 students for their contribution in projecting UniKL RCMP's campus lifestyle activities. 
 
In her keynote address at the "Majlis Anugerah Siswa", Datin Norhafizah said upon graduating, medical students should not just focus on making money, instead they should think of how to give quality services to the patients, "be polite, humble and treat the patients properly and not just focus too much on monetary matters". She also advised the students to enjoy their time at the university and at the same time contribute to the society through their involvement in social and welfare activities throughout their stay in the campus.
Stressing the importance of leadership skills, she reminded the students to participate in community service as this could help them in their communication with the public and build up their character.

The highlight of the event was the award presentation to the outstanding students. Five students from various programmes were recognized for their academic achievement as well as those who had played active roles in leadership and extracurricular activities on campus throughout the year 2013. They have proven to the college and themselves that despite their tight schedule they could allocate time to gain more experience in a possitive manner to serve the community. The awards and recognition will inspire especially the juniors to excel in education and be actively involved in social activities as well.

  • 7. Alumni Student Award       – Cik Fasha binti Murshida
  • 8. Outstanding Student Award (Male category )   – En Muhammad Nazrin bin Mohd Hamka
  • 9. Outstanding Student Award (Female category) – Cik Atina Shahida binti Adnan
